Compassionate Care when it Matters Most

Hospice care offers patients and their caregivers a comforting alternative to the traditional hospital setting, making it possible for the terminally ill patient to remain at home or in other familiar surroundings.

At MetroSouth Hospice Care we are committed to sensitive and compassionate care for our patients. Hospice care is provided to those with a limited life expectancy, at a time when caring, comfort, assistance and a special kind of healing are needed. We also provide comfort and guidance to caregivers, families and friends of our patients.

Our exceptional Hospice Care program provides all the services necessary to help patients function to their unique capacity. The emphasis of MetroSouth Hospice is on symptom management—which includes relief from emotional, spiritual, as well as, physical pain.

A full a range of services is offered and provided on an as needed basis. Our caring, highly skilled staff members make visits based on medical necessity and under the direction of the patient’s physician and the hospice team.

In addition, a Bereavement Program of supportive services is provided to survivors for one full year.

Referral to MetroSouth Hospice Care

To make a referral, simply call (708) 385-0372 and our experienced Referral Coordinators will make all the arrangements. Patients can be referred to our hospice program by physicians, case managers, social workers, families, friends, or at the patient’s own request.
